On January 6, 2021 we were reminded how fragile our Democracy can be and how easy it could potentially be to subvert the will of the voters. In these United States we elect our representatives at the ballot box and we honor the will of the voter, until the next election, and then we fight hard to get our candidate elected. We are reminded of how important it is to elect Democratic Candidates, who will make it easier for your legal vote to be cast and counted. Past Democrats have ushered in Social Security, Medicare, Tri-Care for Armed Forces, and and a belief in a stronger, hard working middle class.

Our Committee has works very hard to elect Democrats from the White House to City Hall and to every office in between. On a local level, our efforts have been successful in keeping and even in some respects gaining Democratic seats among various government entities. We strive to support Democratic candidates who will fight for the working men and women of our state, and not push to hold hard working people down.

I am honored to be the Chair of the Kanawha County Democratic Executive Committee and I am pleased to welcome you to our website.

Our primary responsibility as a party organization in Kanawha County is to recruit and support Democratic candidates for local, county, state and municipal offices.  We try hard to work as a cohesive unit to bring party unity to all of Kanawha County.  As the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party, it is our responsibility to submit poll workers to the Kanawha County Commission for each election that is held countywide.  If you happen to be interested in working as a poll worker in an election, and you are an active Democrat, we would love to have you.  Contact your committeeman or committeewoman in your area.

We want this website to serve as a link to your Democrat Committee.  We hope you find this site useful and insightful.  We hope that you will draw inspiration from our movement into the 21st Century, and participate in our process, and assist us in electing Democrats. Our regular meetings are typically held every second Tuesday of the month and all registered Democrats are welcome to attend and observe their committee in action.
